Another hug-me based picture of my favorite small people HOBBITS! lol I love the Lord of the Rings and the hobbits rule, and I am also called a hobbit by my boyfriend because I am 5'4, roughly, and he is a good 6'0 if not a little taller lol

Nice collection, with some fun art. With regard to the images being fuzzy when you convert to jpg, convert to png instead, and you won't get the fuzzies, and deviantart will still support it. ;)

Aw, this is your MS paint one then, right? Okay, now to tell you my technique.

First of all, you have to draw the pic in pencil or ink, in all the details and lines that you want. You can't really add lines in MS Paint, they'll turn out pixilated or off-center.

Next, scan the picture in a really large size. Say, double the size.

Now open it in MS Paint and go to View--->Large Size.

Click on the line button, which looks like this: / and select a thick line, the thickest or second thickest should do it.

Click on the polygon button (which should be like a loopy looking square, it's one of the last buttons in your toolbar) and select the middle rectangle in the menu that pops up.

Select your line color (I always use black) and the color you want your section of the pic to be. (By section I mean, area enclosed by lines, like someone's shirt, or something.)

Go around the area with the black line. You should make the black line go over the top of the original line you drew as closely as possible, which is why you've got it in a large size to work on. When the line connects back on itself to form whatever shape your section is, the inside SHOULD fill with color. If it doesn't, click the polygon button.

When doing black, first do a black line and a white fill. Then switch to a grey line and a black fill. MAKE SURE YOU SWITCH LINE COLOR FIRST, or else it will be black and black, the two blacks will join, and you'll loose your line.

Continue coloring the rest of your picture in this manner.

There are other techniques, but I'm getting bored. I might make a tutorial of this. >,>

When you are done, resize your picture to about 75% of half the size it is now, which would be the size it was on paper, or slightly bigger. You're done! :D

Ooooooo *runs to try it on one of her uncolored pictures* I love you lol Thank you so very much and I'm sure you will help out a lot of people if you make it a tutorial! And when I finish with one of my pictures I will definitely show (and thank!!!) you. Cause using something like photoshop or photostudio with a touchpad mouse is hard, but I can use the paint program pretty good with it (not to mention I use MS Paint so often that I knowt he quickkeys for stuff lol all those ctrl+blah stuff hehehe)

Ok, ok, ok, I did what you said, and then went and colored it with my photostudio cause it's easier with the touchpad with something simple like what I did, you will just have to excuse the notebook paper lines...got lazy lol I will slowly work on ridding the picture of them, then just edit the image and replace it...but...thanks again cause that will make my life much easier lol

So, did you submit it then??

:iconjanxlieanna:
Yessa, and I actually had a little more fun with it and am going to re-submit it over the old one that is just a scanned sketch.
